Terms and Conditions for Events (as at 02/2023)
Preamble
These event terms and conditions apply to participation in an event of msg for banking AG, Amelia-Mary-Earhart-Straße 14, 60549 Frankfurt a. M. (hereinafter also referred to as “organizer”). By registering, you as a participant confirm that you have taken note of these event terms and conditions and the privacy policy and accept them as binding.
The organizer points out that photo, video and / or sound recordings may be made during the event. The image and video material will be used for internal and selected external purposes (social media and marketing purposes). In this case, the organizer shall provide information before the event and notify participants about their right to object to the recording.
§ 1 Event price
The event price must be paid in advance. The event price includes all seminar documents used during the event in electronic form. For full-day events on site, lunch and refreshments during breaks are generally also included. . Furthermore, if required for the event, technical equipment is provided on loan for the duration of the event.
§ 2 Registration
Binding registrations for events must be made in writing – usually using the msg for banking registration form on Banking.Vision. After submitting your registration, you will receive a confirmation of registration by e-mail, which makes the enrolment binding. If the number of places is limited, registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.
§ 3 Withdrawal
- Registration for on-site eventscan be canceled free of charge up to four weeks before the start of the event. After that, 50 percent of the event price will be charged. Cancellations must be made at least two weeks before the start of the event. After that, the full event price must be paid.
- A shortened cancellation period (‘cancellation free of charge’) of two weeks applies to events held online.
- When booking a seminar or web seminar series, only the entire series can be canceled. It is not possible to cancel individual events within the series. The start of the first event of the corresponding seminar or web seminar series is the decisive date for the cancellation deadlines.
- The organizer reserves the right to cancel events at short notice for good cause (e.g. in case there are not enough participants or if the speaker is unable to attend) or for other reasons beyond the organizer’s control. Payments already made will be refunded. No further claims can be asserted.
- In addition, the organizer is entitled to postpone the event to another day and/or location for the reasons just mentioned. In this case, registrations that have already been confirmed shall remain valid. If the event is finally canceled or no longer takes place, any payments already made will be refunded.
- The organizer also reserves the right to make any necessary changes or deviations to the content, methodology and organization before or during the event, as well as to replace the planned speaker teams with other equally qualified persons with regard to the announced topic if necessary (e.g. illness, accident), provided that this does not significantly change the benefits of the announced event for you and this has no influence on the overall character of the event.
§ 4 Warranty, liability
- The organizer is liable without limitation for damages caused by the organizer intentionally or through gross negligence as well as for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health. The same applies in the event of a violation of any guarantee promises or in the event of fraudulent intent.
- Furthermore, the organizer shall not be liable for damage to property or financial loss caused by slight negligence. This shall not apply in the event of a violation of an obligation which makes the proper execution of the contract possible in the first place and on the observance of which the participant can regularly rely; in this case, the liability of the organizer for property damage or financial loss caused by slight negligence shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.
- The following also applies to events of a training or educational format:
Lessons and exercises are organized in a way that enables you to achieve the training objective if you participate attentively.
The organizer is not liable for the success of the training - The aforementioned limitation of liability shall apply accordingly to the organizer’s liability for futile expenses.
- The aforementioned limitation of liability also applies to the personal liability of the organizer’s vicarious agents and assistants as well as its organs.
§ 5 Copyright
The documents provided are protected by copyright in favour of msg for banking and may only be reproduced in whole or in part with the consent of msg for banking.

§ 7 Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
The applicable law is the law of the Federal Republic of Germany to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If the contractual partner of msg for banking is a merchant within the meaning of the German Commercial Code or a person comparable to a merchant, the exclusive place of jurisdiction shall be Frankfurt am Main.
